i just installed a trial version of adobe after effects 8...

on the way back from dallas, i bought a fat ass graphics book called creating motion graphics with cs3, and after effects.

so i guess all the pics that i gathered for the articles were illegally taken offline? hmm well i cant get to every show i write an article about just yet, so i hope i dont get in trouble...

I wouldn't admit that in public if I were you:-)...and it's usually easy to get a photo release, you just have to contact the owner and ask. My copyrights are extremely complex because they're owned in part by me, but also in part by all the other designers and the university. Adn the photos are copyrighted jointly by the archivist and the university as well...mmmm I love intellectual property laws.

thanks for the advise, btu the pics were never used, and im broke so they cant sue me. i did ask permission and never heard from them. ill have to tale to eric and alex about this now.

if they want some help, have them get in touch with me and I'll talk them through my usual photo release form that I give to people for release of my work.
