Wow, this was a BIG party. It was like a GXG DJ reunion of some sorts! In addition, there was TONS of GXG members in the house. But, it was also good because there were tons of new people too, new people to bring to GXG >=D So hopefully in the next few days, some new faces will be showing up...

Anyways, the music was amazing as always. Henry tore it up as usual, following with Waldo - playing with peoples emtions with his sick scratching, and then Ablist - throwing heads around like no ones business. In the main room, Delerium, Faze, and Far Too Lour - wow, it got sick nasty in there. Great stuff! Don't forget Stylez at the begining, dropping some funky breaks - fucking great!

Running GXG Live was a blast. A lot of people popped in and out, checking it out for the first time - and others who were already well aware of how awesome GXG Live is... Stay tuned, GXG Live will be at Baby Anne in Greensboro and possibly, Future Sound of Break in Charleston!

I took a few pictures, but have not even begun to go through them. I am working to get highlights of the Live Stream from last night, but Justin.tv has been weird lately. We will just have to see...

Whoever made the call to switch the venue made the keyest decision of their life.

This was the night of "not enough time" for me. Everything went way too quick. I was so busy talking to dancers I didn't really get a chance to proactively listen to the dj's full sets. So I can't really offer up a review. All I know was it sounded good the whole night. I had planned on getting there earlier but got super held up so I didn't come in to Escape till around 11.


Personal highlights for me in no particular order:

First was the guy who did that photon set on the patio. It's kind of rare, at least for me, to see anyone using photons and for that matter use them well. So good job to that dude whoever he was.

Second was the sick digitz circle that went down in the back corner of the patio.

Third was meeting all the new and upcoming dancers in the area.

Fourth was the good music to dance to. And the good vibe

Overall I wish there was more time so I could of talked to more people but maybe next time. Furthermore I don't dance with glowsticks but I might start messing around with them after seeing all the people dancing with them. I was jealous. Also I wish I could of met the dj's from the uk. Oh well.

I agree about the venue change.. talent of that caliber deserved to be playing at a venue of that caliber. Kudos to Smooth for getting a really good turnout in only a week's worth of word of mouth! Everyone seemed to be having a blast and stuck around till the end. The afterparty was cool too. It's nice to see people from all over the Carolinas come out to party in Greenville.. says something I do believe.

as to the venue change, soho was sold to a new owner without anyone telling us! we managed to change everything to escape, and are super grateful it went down ok. i spent from 8-10pm sitting at soho with printed directions, but no one ever drove by, so i guess word of mouth carries faster than a week. if anyone went by there and wondered what was up, sorry i wasnt there but we put up signs and directions on the door. plus i had a party to spin at

I want to thank everyone for coming out!!! It was a blast. No serious problems, even with the venue change. Props to ALL the dj's( especially to the patio crew who cranked it all night long!!!), Stylez, Smooth Productions, DNF, Far Too Loud, and all the GenX peep's that came out to support. A party like that is why i do what i do...
