Fire perfomance for birthday, Suggestions? -

My mom asked me to spin some fire for her 50th birthday party, like 35 people. My mom has never seen the fire before so i am hoping to blow her and the guest minds, and suggestions on some moves that you guys think particularly impress people who are new to fire poi?
i am also going to video tap it so i am throwing in a bunch of my newer stuff for you guys
Well, I haven't spun for many people but what I have noticed is that people that don't know about the difficulty of things don't appreciate it as much. I could throw a straitjacket or a crosser and they can't tell the difference. It also eliminates a lot of room for error. Now, I'm not saying just stick to fountains and butterflies. But you're at a skill level where you can pull off some insane shit that I wouldn't know how to begin with. So you can obviously still throw what you want but I wouldn't suggest the btb antispun and isolated 7 bt atomic weave, ya know?
I do know that I'm excited to see a new video, though!
That's all I got.
Well, I do agree with Gex....people that have never seen a fire dancer before will not know the degrees of difficulty. The best way to impress is to do it to music, more around a lot (dance, spin, full arm extensions, etc), keep your planes oriented to the audience, etc. In the end, just flow....do what you like cause that will have the most passion to it! A few moves that are crowd pleasers: flowers (antispun especially), butterflies/combos, orbitals/hyperloops, isolations, mind meltdowns, crossers, pirouettes, buzzsaws (especially if you get on the ground flat).
Have fun! You'll blow their minds, I just know it!!!
Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!

Well its fire poi but everytime ive ever done lightshows for alot of people everyone seems to love fountains and spirals (hence spirals arent the best with fire unless with protection or something) but i always throw some crossers n such in. Also UTL things seem to trip ppl out. But like Gex said non spinners n such dont rly seem to appreciate the intense hard moves lol

these guys have hit all my suggestions - but may I say that it's awesome that your mom wants you to spin fire for her and her friends? Cheers to that!

Yeah...No one truly understands your performances, unless they have a summable amount of knowledge/experience with it... people will know nothing except, wow, the fire is making circles, and won't recognize your pulling off a sick ass antispun flower flawlessly...So I guess stick to shit like, most people who have never seen it tend to enjoy planes, and butterflies, and waist wrap weaves...Pretty much stick to wrap combos and planing randomly... Spin them seperate directions one ahead of you and one btb and just start switching there positions and bring em into a bad ass hyperloop, unwind and pull some double stalls and ttn, and I think that's about a sufficient routine to do for impressing them.
