Yeah, don't feel bad....no one watches MTV anymore....they went wrong about 15 years ago!! LOL...It still would be awesome if I made it on TV!!! Although I seriously doubt it! I'd advertise myself to the camera crew, but I'm a lil too modest to go up to them and be all like 'Yeah, you should totally film me....I'll impress your audience.' I'm more the type to just kinda do my thing despite who's watching....I could care less....I do the EXACT SAME THING in my bedroom....except you all get to watch!!! This place is definitely MY MTV!!!

Okay raver bois and gurls.....here's my update/reflection on this event. So apparently the organizer of the event who wanted us to perform didn't organize this aspect of the party very well. Last year we had a stage and it was pretty sweet.....however, this year, no stage, not even a roped-off area....nothing. Plus, the stage we were supposed to be performing at was playing some LAME music by a live band at the time were were supposed to perform. Therefore, me and my friends decided the only safe and effective way to get it done right was to take matters into our own hands. We went to a different stage, barricaded off an area and made it happen. It was sweet, we spun for an hour or so with about 8 of us. We did single performances, some double (and even triple work) and props used included poi, ropedart, fire hoop, fire snakes and hand candles. It was awesome!! The crowd really loved it and gave us roaring approval. The estimates of the event said there were about 10,000 people in attendance. It was a lot of fun to share our love of fire performance arts with such a large group, many of which had never seen such things.

Next awesome aspect to mention. Since we were performers, we got VIP access....which gave us free access to all the venues PLUS a free VIP ONLY AFTERHOURS (sponsored by Red Bull). Shit was awesome!! Definitely the best after hours I've ever been to in my life. FREE food (chicken on a stick, sushi, etc) and more importantly FREE DRINKS made with absolute vodka and red bull (reg, pear or mandarin vodka....pear was the bomb!). I definitely took advantage of the free flowing liquor....I was walking around with two drinks at a time....double fistin' it....yeah, baby! They had DJ's spinning and an awesome group of people (and lots of friends of mine).

I went from there to a friend's house in DSM and after-after-hours partied it till very early (sun was up several hours). I got back to my house and went to bed around 11 AM this morning...after being up partying since noon on Sat. Overall, a wonderful night...tons of great experiences, friends, free alc, fire, promoting GXG, etc etc....I definitely partied my ASS off....literally it seems....I weighed myself when I got back to determine I lost 5 pounds last night (probably mostly water, but still!!) Oh....forgot to mention....I made $20 too for performing, which defrayed most of my gas costs. The entire night cost me $10.....for everything! Definitely money WELL SPENT, IMO.
