Just FYI...the fuel link on this no longer works, just the fire extinguisher one. If you can find another good site for this, post it up, if not, maybe the two of us can compile some sort of fuel-guide.

HOLY....FUCKING.....SHIT....*jaw drops* Your artwork is AMAZING....absolutely incredible in every way and awe inspiring. I just bookmarked that page cause.....damn. I'm super impressed man, you've got some serious serious talent. No joke!

You should start a thread in central and post that link....I think others could benefit from seeing your work.

Sweet. I love art...especially geometric stuff (abstract....nothing realistic) and also kinetic art! Wish I was better, but I'm okay, i guess. I'd love to see some of your work sometime. Yeah, I think optometry will be a great career....regular hours, not on call, get to actively help people see better (and therefore do the things they enjoy doing, get where they need to go and stay safe), plus eyes/optics are so damn cool!

as far as what medium i use i mostly illustrate with pen and ink but i also really enjoy painting. i actually just got a gig live painting at an event coming up in my area. you should definitely rock the optometry for several reasons: first, you can use the term docotr when referring to yourself. second, you can actually directly help people on a day to day basis. i would welcome the apprehension, ive noticed its usually present right before something good/important happens and find that it disipates quickly.this happens everytime i start a new job no matter how big or small its importance/responsability. so in short, good luck!

So what media is your style of choice? I've done pottery, drawing, painting, etc....but I'm not really much of an artist. I'm more of a scientist, really. I wish you luck in your schooling....I, myself am entering a 4 year program for optometry (eye doctor).....I move to St. Louis a week from today! I'm pretty excited, yet apprehensive....

thanks for the popping. to answer your question im 23. im actually taking a slight hiatus from teaching compliments of the south carolina judicial system. upon expoungment i will probably return to teaching but honestly HS art is a painful thing to teach. it's underfunded. the students are uninterested and looking for an "easy" way out of electives and towards the end i felt like i was putting in way more than i was getting out just for the time spent with the few interested students. it also doesnt help that when you start they dont want to give you seniority over the older (less qualified) teachers to teach the higher level studio classes. so hopefully this time off is long enough or close to it to get a masters and get hired by a college that force me into my own studio and demand i produce work all the time...boo hoo (serious sarcasm). thanks for the interest and i hope all is well.

Okay....first off, why am I not your friend ALREADY!? Secondly, why do you have no comments on here.....*POP* I just popped your comment cherry. Lastly.......you teach art for HSers????? That's awesome? How old are you? My advise is definitely to further your education (as a very soon to be matriculated graduate student) and get your masters! Either way, that's awesome and I hope you do well in all you do!
