Yeah, it's really bad. I'm connected at 29 Kbps right now....HA! We're blazing now!! WOOOOO....hold on!! Fuck, it's like a slug stuck in molasses!
We've always had dial-up at my parent's place....cause we're out in the country and can't get anything else other than satellite ($60-70/month PLUS a $400 set-up feel....yeah right!). My mom is the only one here that uses it other than me, and she's never had anything faster, so she doesn't know what she's missing. But I go off to school for 9 months out of the year and have high speed there....and come back and suffer.
If I want to watch a 3 minute YouTube vid, I need to let it load for about 2 hours so I can watch it all at once...and that's if it doesn't get disconnected between there or not load right. Otherwise, I could watch a second of the vid every few minutes....fun fun! It's pretty ridiculous....it's such a 1995 connection!! And I'm pretty sure our connection is slow for dial-up!
