Born in small-town North Carolina and cultured in Mid-Town Manhattan, DJ EXQ has the experience of a giant and the mannerisms of a picture-perfect 1960's poster child. His musical talents stem from the likes of Jazz-greats such as Miles Davis and John Coltrane, to today's top Djs and Producers such as Dieselboy, Scream, AK1200, Deadmau5, and Nero.
Enter: Drum & Bass. EXQ's style on the decks is as full of deep, heavy bass lines; Sirenesque melodies; and mind-numbing high-hats, as it possibly could be! The hottest new tracks, the timeless classics, and everything in between, all construct some of the most wicked 1 ½ hour sets imaginable. EXQ has built a solid reputation for consistently bringing what people want to hear. Regularly showcased at venues across the state of North Carolina since 2009, he's wowed crowds with the biggest names in the region including: Wobble Factory (CarbonBass & DubRolla), 1Adam12, Panic, Digital Rapport, DigiSoul, Cloak & Dagger, Tom Tom, Selecta, SlipMat, Shatta & Ruckus, and Aggression & Gauntlet; just to name a few. EXQ was also showcased at the 1st annual Camp Unity Music Festival in Orlando, Florida, which featured more than 40 of the United States' biggest & best DJs and was also host to more than 2,000 wild & crazy fans!
