Always eager to break new PC-centric talent, ACIDplanet.com presents Yakoozai. He’s offering his new track, “Horizon,” for remixing.
When I hear a good track at the club or in my car, I always think about what could be used to spice it up or make it more unique. I like to listen for what makes the song diverse. Also, it may be the fact that I am a dj/producer and would like to revise the song to fit another crowd. Music plays a big part in all of our lives and when we are given a chance to put our own twist on a song that we like, it becomes a part of us.
A young premier dj/producer by the name of Joel Crowe, a.k.a. Yakoozai, has decided to bring forth your talent in his new remix competition! Joel has teamed up with Acid Planet and Aurora Records to present you with the opportunity to not only remix his new track Horizon, but release it along side the original!
This is the fun part. In order to enter the contest you must do a few things, such as register with AcidPlanet.com and download the track content for Horizon. There are a few helpful tools there to assist you in the production. Not only are you provided with the wave files, but the VST settings for the soft synths along with the midi information are also included. The only thing that the guys at Acid Planet and the label ask is that you only submit the highest quality mixes. Understand your mix will be considered for release, so bring your best production skills and most importantly, enjoy the creative process of this remix!
Yakoozai tracks are epic with a strong progressive energy. Yakoozai’s latest release, “Rondaview”, was featured by Ferry Corsten over the summer on the weekly edition of Corsten’s Countdown. Experiencing the sound of Yakoozai is almost unforgettable. Just this year alone, the tracks he has done with the label Ebony Red Records have been featured on multiple compilations.
